Kent M. Keith published his book Anyway in 2001. The subtitle is “The Paradoxical
Commandments” and its focus is on your personal meaning in our ever-changing and “crazy”
world. The commandments are simple, concise, and direct. As it is one of the goals of this
column to help improve young ballplayers, it is well worth the time to read these and share them
with others…And, it should be read by Old “ballers” as well”!! FAW!!!!
- People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.

Be honest and frank ANYWAY. - The biggest men/women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest
men/women with the smallest minds.
Think big ANYWAY. - People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs ANYWAY. - What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build ANYWAY.
- People really need help but many attack you if you help them.
Help people ANYWAY.
- Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
